POLO-Z is a combination of two medicines Ofloxacin and Ornidazole. Both of these together become effective in the treatment of bacterial and parasitic infections. This medication is used in the treatment of infection caused in the gastrointestinal tract, bladder, urinary tract, lungs, reproductive organs, etc.
Ofloxacin belongs to the class of fluoroquinolone antibiotics. It is used in treating bacterial infections and acts on the bacterias by blocking the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the multiplication and repair of bacterias inside the host. Thereby killing the existing bacteria and relieving the patient’s body of infection.
Ornidazole at the same time is effective in the prevention and control of protozoal and parasitic infections. It is highly useful in the treatment of several health conditions caused by parasitic infections and other inflammations caused in the body such as diarrhea, dysentery, vaginal infections, urinary tract infections, etc.
Ofloxacin and Ordinazole is an oral medicine that is to be taken through the mouth with or without food. Take it at the same time of the day to maintain equal intervals between dosages. Consult your doctor for the correct dosage and duration of this medication. Your dosage will be based on your medical condition, age, response to medicine, past medical history, and other physiological factors as well. Follow the doctor’s prescription strictly to ensure the medicine proves effective inside the body.
It is an antibiotic medicine and thus should not be used for purposes other than bacterial infections. It is to be used only when you are infected and not unnecessarily, using it without any need can make the body resistant to anti-biotic drugs, and thus they will be left useless on real bacterial infection.
