Description

Pantoprazole and Levosulpiride Capsules is an ultra-effective gastrointestinal formulation that combines the acid-suppressing behavior of Pantoprazole with the prokinetic and antipsychotic uses of Levosulpiride. This dual-action therapy is meant for acid-related disorder treatment, reflux disease, dyspepsia, and motility dysfunction. Pantoprazole is a strong proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that moderates gastric acid secretion, whereas Levosulpiride, a substituted benzamide derivative, acts like a prokinetic showing enhancement of gastric motility, prevention of nausea, and bloating.

With excessive stomach acid and delayed gastric emptying as the targets, Panon-LS provides complete relief and stands as the doctor’s choice of prescription for GERD, chronic gastritis, functional dyspepsia, and reflux-associated symptoms.

Mechanism of Action

Pantoprazole: Pantoprazole belongs to a class of drugs named PPIs, which irreversibly inhibit the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in gastric parietal cells. Hence, the enzyme gets blocked in the last step for acid production; thus gastric acid secretion decreases, bringing solace to patients suffering from GERD, ulcer, and hyperacidity.

Levosulpiride: It is a benzamide derivative that blocks D2 dopamine receptors in the intestine. It increases the release of acetylcholine and thus improves gastric motility and sped up gastric emptying. Another central antiemetic through blocking D2 receptors occurs in the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ).
