Description

CEFTRIAXONE Injection: Across a broad spectrum of drugs, Ceftriaxone injection is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic in a sterile powder form for reconstitution with water for injection. It is utilized to fight bacteria of various types, which include respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, blood infections, bone infections, and many more. It is also used to prevent bacteria in operating theaters.

Ceftriaxone is similar to most penicillin medications in that it works by attaching itself to certain proteins on the surface of the bacteria causing the infection and preventing the bacteria from building and repairing their cell walls. Without a functioning cell wall, they are unable to survive and die.
