Ceftriaxone+Sulbactum is a combination of two antibiotic drugs, Ceftriaxone and Sulbactam. It is available in the market at Pax Healthcare under the brand name NEPA-S. NEPA-S works by stopping the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. In NEPA-S, Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftriaxone against bacteria. 

Sulbactam inhibits the action of beta-lactamase it is an enzyme produced by bacteria that can destroy antibiotics. Ceftriaxone+Sulbactum injection will be administered by a healthcare professional, so do not self-administer this drug. The common side effects of NEPA-S include pain and swelling at the injection site, skin rash,  vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, and black or bloody stools. These side effects of NEPA-S are usually mild and temporary but if these side effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor immediately.

Drug-Food Interactions: No interactions were found with NEPA-S Injection.

NEPA-S Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems, seizures, diabetes, liver diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, and bleeding disorders.
